Hi,
We have been busy in 6th Grade Developmental Reading this year with learning OneNote to be able to have our reading journals online so you, the parents, can see all the work we are doing in class. You can access your child's work by asking him or her how to get on to their school email. From there if you go to the blue box with white dots or squares, the "tiles" or "waffle", at the top left hand corner just click the purple box OneNote Online it will open up to your child's OneNote Reading Journal. You will see tabs for each section of the journal. We have work in the Reading List tab, the Letter tab, Forms tab, and the Collaboration tab. You will see a rubric with your child's work for assignments I have graded with comments. If you need any help getting to your child's OneNote reading journal just ask your child for help. They will know how to get into the journal. Your child has been working hard this year on Monitoring their Thinking while reading and Recommending a book to other students as well as recognizing the features in a nonfiction text, their Science books, and determining the purpose for the feature to help them understand how the text is organized to help them learn more efficiently from it. . I am proud of the way they learned and are using OneNote for their reading journal this year.
